Tiffany Macias was born and raised in California and started her dance training at the age of three. She has been trained in ballet, pointe, lyrical and contemporary. Tiffany comes from a long line of dancers and followed in the footsteps of her grandmother who was a ballet dancer, and her Great Uncle, an LA based ballet Instructor. At the age of fourteen Tiffany started extensive ballet training at Severance Ballet Conservatory under the direction of Francoise Thouveny-Doyle and Christopher Doyle. She started her assistant teaching in 2000, and began her teaching career in 2004 at Kings Dance Center becoming the Artistic Director for the studio’s Ballet Ensemble. In 2009, she moved to North Carolina and taught ballet, pointe and lyrical class, while working with the studio’s competitive dancers, choreographing award winning lyrical solos. In 2011, she became Dance Theatre of Jacksonville Ballet Company’s Ballet Mistress, and then Artistic Director for their production of The Nutcracker from 2012-2014. In 2014, Tiffany moved back to California teaching ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary and stretch/flexibility classes at Dancers Edge. She worked with the studio’s award winning competitive dancers, teaching ballet technique and stretch/ flexibility classes and produced nationally recognized pointe and lyrical choreography. Tiffany recently relocated from California to Tennessee, with her husband and son, and is excited to share her knowledge and love of dance with Spotlite Dance Studio.
